 Hell yeah brother let's do a recap on this set in this object design class! I actually really enjoyed this class, I do photography and VCD so taking another course in this where I have infinite creativity to do literally whatever I wanted. so so cool. I genuinely learned so much in this course and one of my favourite studio courses. you are a phenomenal teacher Bryan thank you thank you thank you <3 onto my recap!!!! Started with a refresher of a voxel model, took me some time to get back into the swing of things after doing almost 9 months without it, but genuinely helped me remember commands and just being reintroduced to the program project 2! definitely the project I learned most on. surfaces, lighting setups, materials, and just any command I could find and experiment with. really helped get me comfortable with the application and really I cannot express enough the big learning curve/leap I took from project 1 to this one. final hollow form project post!!!!!

WE ARE SO BACK! this is the updated blog post. a lot of It will be similar but just with my updated/final forms.  MY ORIGINAL 6 CONCEPTS MY CONCEPTS THAT I MADE AFTER YOU TOLD US TO MAKE MORE AND THEN TO COMBINE THEM  three concepts of mine I liked and would like to develop and include in this hybrid project 1. 2. 3. OBJECT 1  how does it function? - I think it would function really cool to print multiple of them embedded into each other so they're printed as a chain what are the aesthetic qualities of this piece - the curvature and fluidity of the piece. I think there's also a very interesting "leading line" sort of thing going on. it brings your eyes around the piece almost infinitely  is the object self supporting? - no unfortunately. I think because of the twist in the middle it would need supports which makes it unusable for this assignment sadly. but something I still like is this ready to print? - I think it is. obviously not for this project because its not s...

hollow form, the hybrid (jk)

this project im very excited for! although I honestly don't have a lot of confidence in abstract/sculptural work. I feel everything needs a purpose, whether it's my sports photography or pottery throwing, so that was a big challenge for me to overcome. hollow form object (all 6 of my concepts I generated)

 very quickly fell in love with this one twisty tower shape I made so I modified like 3ish different versions of it? one is a football sort of thing, the other is a cup shape thing, and the last I can only describe as a tree/root sort of situation???? I also have included the original shape that all these ideas were developed from this is the original shape that was reflected, mirrored, duplicated etc to. make the following three forms those are the four shapes. I really liked that were all b built off the same original render the next two are similar but are some of my favourites  this one was the original but then I started messing around with subd tools and filleting things. and thats where I got this one. my favourite of them all.
