Hell yeah brother let's do a recap on this set in this object design class! I actually really enjoyed this class, I do photography and VCD so taking another course in this where I have infinite creativity to do literally whatever I wanted. so so cool. I genuinely learned so much in this course and one of my favourite studio courses. you are a phenomenal teacher Bryan thank you thank you thank you <3
onto my recap!!!!
Started with a refresher of a voxel model, took me some time to get back into the swing of things after doing almost 9 months without it, but genuinely helped me remember commands and just being reintroduced to the program
project 2!
definitely the project I learned most on. surfaces, lighting setups, materials, and just any command I could find and experiment with. really helped get me comfortable with the application and really I cannot express enough the big learning curve/leap I took from project 1 to this one. It was nice to be back in my element in rhino
project 3
laser cut coaster was so fun. and to finally have something physical in this class was beyond exciting. I experimented with lots of different types but fell in love with the storage aspect of this one specifically. I thought it was so neat and creative (if I do say so myself haha) to make 6 that stored so easily with the magnets. I actually have an appointment to cut more acrylic because I really want to refine this design and make it "prettier". ive purchased stronger magnets and refined my measurements so im very excited to make more and give them as christmas gifts!
project 4
and lastly, the 3d print. another great experience for me because I get to have another physical object to take home with me! I don't have the actual piece yet but im excited, The twist in the middle of the semester of having to combine multiple of our starting pieces definelty... well it happened. I got through it though and you forced me to be a problem solver so thanks!I feel I got to encapsulate and combine my designs perfectly, and it was super cool restarting from the beginning in order to do so. thank u for forcing me out of my comfort zone <3
thank you for this class in general, it was so refreshing to see how passionate you were about the concept, made it a lot easier to learn from you. so thank you
